What buggy whips are

A buggy whip is a flexible fibreglass or carbon-fibre rod, typically 6-10 feet tall, mounted to the back or roof of a vehicle. The top is fitted with a flag, reflective stripes, and optionally an LED light. The purpose: make low-profile vehicles (forklifts, golf buggies, ATVs) visible above visual obstructions and from a distance.

When to use them

• Warehouses and distribution centres — forklift visibility above racking and around blind corners
• Quarries and mines — buggy and ATV visibility in excavated areas with line-of-sight obstructions
