Frosted Vinyl

Etched-glass effect for window privacy, branded glazing, and decorative window graphics. Lower cost than sandblasted or acid-etched glass.

Frosted vinyl gives the appearance of sandblasted or acid-etched glass at a fraction of the cost, and can be removed cleanly when no longer needed. Used widely for office partition privacy, branded window glazing, and decorative window graphics.

Direct Signs supplies frosted vinyl as full window panels, custom-cut graphics (logos, branding), or decorative patterns. Standard frosted vinyl is approximately 80 microns thick with a frosted finish on one side and adhesive on the other.

Lifespan: 5-7 years indoor; 3-5 years on external glazing.

Frosted Vinyl FAQs

Is frosted vinyl removable?
Yes. Standard frosted vinyl peels cleanly with patience and a hairdryer / heat gun. Easier to remove than printed vinyl because there is no adhesive layer to peel.

Can frosted vinyl include a printed logo?
Yes. We can print your logo through frosted vinyl, leaving the logo as a clear or printed area in an otherwise frosted panel. Common for reception windows and conference rooms.

Does frosted vinyl block visibility completely?
It blocks clear visibility but not all light. Sit-up-from-table conversations are private; standing-up silhouettes may be visible. For total privacy, consider blackout vinyl or solid panels.
