Acrylic gives a premium, three-dimensional appearance that flat-printed signs can't match. Used for reception wall logos, feature lettering, illuminated sign faces, and high-end retail and hospitality interiors.

Direct Signs cuts and fabricates acrylic from cast or extruded sheet, in any thickness from 5mm to 25mm. Standard finishes are solid colour throughout (cast acrylic), polished edge (CNC-routed acrylic), or illuminated (acrylic face with LED behind).

Lifespan: 10-15 years indoor; 5-10 years sheltered outdoor.

What thickness should I choose?
10mm is the standard for most reception and shop applications. 5mm for smaller letters. 20-25mm for premium feature signage where the depth is the design point.

Cast vs extruded acrylic?
Cast acrylic has solid colour throughout the thickness — better for engraved or polished edges. Extruded is easier to fabricate, cheaper, but coloured edges show as transparent. We use cast for premium applications, extruded for cost-sensitive.

Can acrylic be illuminated?
Yes. Translucent acrylic with LED behind gives evenly illuminated faces. Edge-lit configurations also possible. Power supply and mounting brackets included with illuminated specifications.
