Cut-vinyl lettering is one of the most versatile and cost-effective ways to add branding, wayfinding, or messaging to a smooth surface. Direct Signs supplies cut-vinyl in any colour, size, and font for windows, doors, vehicles, partition walls, and floors.

Standard cut-vinyl is a precision-cut self-adhesive film, typically 70-100 microns thick. We cut to your specification on a digital plotter, weed and tape, and supply ready to apply with included instructions. For complex installations or large schemes, our installation team applies on-site.

Vinyl Lettering FAQs

How long does vinyl lettering last?
External-grade vinyl typically 5-7 years on glass and painted surfaces. Vehicle-grade vinyl 3-5 years. Internal applications considerably longer. Removable spec vinyl is designed for 6-24 month use.

Can I install it myself?
Small letters and short messages — yes, we provide instructions and application tape. Larger graphics or window-wide installations are easier with our installation team. Misapplied vinyl creates bubbles that are hard to fix.

What about removal?
Standard vinyl removes with a heat gun and patience. Removable / spec vinyl peels cleanly. Vehicle vinyl can leave adhesive residue requiring solvent cleaning.

Can you do frosted or etched window vinyl?
Yes. Frosted and etched vinyl give the appearance of sandblasted or acid-etched glass at a fraction of the cost, and can be removed cleanly when no longer needed.
