Custom signage

Post Signs
UK manufactured.

Free-standing post-mounted signs for car parks, perimeter fencing, footpaths, and outdoor wayfinding. Single or twin post construction.

A post sign is a sign panel mounted to one or two metal posts, typically galvanised steel, set in concrete foundations. Used for car park signage, perimeter notices, outdoor wayfinding, and any application where you need a free-standing sign that doesn't require a full monolith.

Direct Signs supplies post signs ready-to-install with foundation kits, or installs on-site for larger projects. Sign panels are typically aluminium composite (Dibond) or pressed aluminium, with vinyl or printed graphics.

Common questions

Post Signs FAQs

What's the typical post height?

Sign panel is typically mounted with the centre of the panel at 1.8-2.2m above ground. Total post length 2.5-3m to allow for the foundation. Heights vary for specific applications (e.g. low-level reservoir signs at 1m for visibility from the water).

How are post signs installed?

Foundation hole dug (typically 400mm × 400mm × 600mm deep per post). Concrete poured around the post. Sign panel mounted to the posts above ground level. We can supply ready-to-install kits or do the full installation.

What materials work outdoors?

Galvanised steel posts with aluminium composite or pressed aluminium panels. Vinyl graphics for cost-effective customisation, or screen-printed for maximum lifespan. Reflective options for night-time visibility.
